Testimonials

Justine demonstrates incredibly strong organizational skills and is highly detail oriented. When it comes to post-production workflows, there are so many moving parts — from managing contractors, organizing assets, editing multiple projects, communicating with various stakeholders and departments. Justine manages to balance these elements all while upholding high standards and output. These are qualities that make for very high-valued editors.
— Produce & Director at Sleep Doctor
Justine worked for me at WJZ-TV in Baltimore during my time at CBS Local, charged with creating audio and video content for all owned-and-operated CBS TV Stations websites. She was fast, efficient, reliable, and a pleasure to work with, always coming to work with a smile on her face and a great attitude too. Her work was a valuable part of a project that wound up becoming a key operation across our sites. There’s no doubt in my mind she’ll thrive in any position and challenge she takes on.
— Former Director, News Programming & Promotion, CBS Local
Justine Browning was a fantastic employee and a great “team mate” for the office. Her shooting, editing and videographer skills were always top-notch as she managed deadlines in a fast-paced environment. She also had an infectious ‘can-do’ attitude, always willing to help out other employees with their video needs.
— Digital Manager, Hearst Television

Get to know me

The obsession begins:

As a creative child growing up in rural Pennsylvania I would spend my free time beating boredom by using the family camcorder to film skits with my “crew” aka: my four siblings.

As I went through high school I would find any excuse to turn a PowerPoint project into a video. I would create montages of my friend’s life memories and gift them the DVD for their birthday.

These are the moments I first experienced the bliss of spending hours lost in the edit; assembling the puzzle pieces to find the best possible end result. I decided THIS is what I love to do.

Building My Resume:

After getting my degree in Electronic Media & Film at Towson University I extended a semester long internship at Baltimore Magazine into my first paid freelance gig. While filming and editing documentary style online video for the magazine I eventually picked up another job at CBS Local where I created breaking news content. Nine months later, I landed a fulltime position at Hearst working for the only two radio stations they own: local staples WBAL and 98 Rock. For the first few years I built up their video presence online, in sales and in promotions. As the content grew I had the opportunity to develop and create an original TV show for the popular comedy based morning show that aired on local programming.

The Next Chapter:

Never in my wildest dreams did I, the small town girl from Pennsylvania, expect to move cross country. My husband was offered a great job opportunity in Seattle and we welcomed the new adventure. After taking some time off to get acclimated to my new surroundings, I started working for OneCare Media. I now manage freelancer video editors and edit content for Sleep Doctor and Sleep Foundation.
